Palma de Mallorca Travel Guide
Palma de Mallorca is the major city and port in the island of Mallorca and capital city of the autonomous community of the Balearic Islands in Spain. Almost half of the total population of Mallorca live in Palma, and its airport, Son Sant Joan, is one of the busiest in Europe. Palma offers a rich mix of history, culture and nightlife. The area displays narrow streets between high walls of ancient buildings. The historic core of the city extends inland from the commercial port and the most prominent of landmarks - the Catedral de Palma de Mallorca and Almudaina, the "Royal Palace".
